Elon Musk to Donate $45 Million Monthly to Support Donald Trump’s Presidential Campaign
California [US], July 16: Tesla CEO Elon Musk has announced plans to donate $45 million a month to America PAC, a super political-action committee supporting former US President Donald Trump’s presidential run. Other notable backers of America PAC include Joe Lonsdale, the Winklevoss twins, and Kelly Craft.
America PAC, formed in June, focuses on registering voters and encouraging early voting and mail-in ballots in swing states. The group aims to counter the Democrats’ strong voter mobilization efforts. Musk, the world’s richest person with an estimated fortune of over $250 billion, has committed an extraordinary amount to this cause.
Despite previously stating he wouldn’t donate to Trump or Biden, Musk recently endorsed Trump after an assassination attempt on the former president at a rally in Pennsylvania. The FBI identified the gunman as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. Musk expressed his support for Trump and wished him a speedy recovery.
