Eknath Shinde Praises BJP’s Haryana Victory and PM Modi’s Influence
On October 18, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde celebrated the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) success in the Haryana assembly elections. He attributed the victory to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s influence, stating that Modi’s ‘magic’ worked in Haryana, defying all poll predictions. Shinde also commended Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, describing him as a down-to-earth leader.
Shinde expressed confidence that the BJP’s success in Haryana would be mirrored in Maharashtra. He mentioned attending Saini’s swearing-in ceremony, where Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya administered the oath of office to Saini and his ministers at Dussehra Ground in Panchkula.
Prominent leaders, including Prime Minister Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, attended the event. Other attendees included Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel, and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath.
The BJP formed its third consecutive government in Haryana, winning 48 out of 90 seats, while the Congress secured 37 seats. Several BJP MLAs, including Arti Singh Rao and Rajesh Nagar, were sworn in as ministers in the new government.
