Eighth Person Arrested in Haryana Mob Lynching Case Involving Migrant Worker Sabir Malik

Details of the Incident
On August 27, police received information about people consuming prohibited meat in the slums of Hansawas Khurd village. Samples of the meat have been sent to an FSL lab for analysis. Based on suspicions, complainants kidnapped and assaulted two individuals, resulting in Malik’s death and another person being injured.
Arrests and Investigation
Seven suspects, including two minors, were initially arrested. Three have been sent to judicial custody, while four are in police remand. The eighth suspect was arrested on Sunday. DSP Dheeraj Kumar confirmed that a case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and the investigation is ongoing.
