ED Seizes Land and Cash in Major Money Laundering Cases

Properties Attached in Gurugram

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached immovable properties spanning 88.29 acres and valued at Rs 300.11 crore. These properties belong to M3M India Infrastructures Pvt Ltd and are located in Basharia village, Gurugram, Haryana. This action was taken under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.

Raids on Malbros International Pvt Ltd

In a separate case, the ED seized unaccounted cash amounting to Rs 78.15 lakh during raids at seven locations in Punjab, Delhi, and Madhya Pradesh. These raids were related to liquor company Malbros International Pvt Ltd and its former Director Gautam Malhotra. The investigation is linked to environmental crimes involving soil and water contamination.

Environmental Violations

The ED’s investigation revealed that Malbros International Pvt Ltd discharged industrial waste into bore-wells, contaminating soil and groundwater. This led to public health risks and cattle deaths in the surrounding areas. The money generated from these environmental crimes was used for the company’s business activities, and further investigation into the money trail is ongoing.
