ED Files Complaint Against Sakatar Singh and Family in Jalandhar Drug Case

The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) in Jalandhar has filed a Prosecution Complaint (PC) before the Special Court (PMLA) against Sakatar Singh, his brother Makhan Singh, and their families for drug trafficking. The accused allegedly acquired properties through illegal narcotic dealings.

The ED’s investigation, based on FIRs registered by Punjab Police and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), led to searches at 10 premises in Sheron, Nausheran Pannuan, and Bugha on February 3, 2023. On July 12, 2024, the ED provisionally attached properties, bank balances, and cash worth Rs. 3.91 Crore under the PMLA, 2002.

Sakatar Singh was arrested on July 4, 2024, under the PMLA, 2002, and is currently in judicial custody. Further investigation is ongoing.
