Earthquake of 4.5 Magnitude Hits Andaman Sea

On Friday night, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 struck the Andaman Sea. The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) reported that the tremors were felt at 10:46 pm. The epicenter was located at latitude 10.25 and longitude 93.82, at a depth of 10 km.
The NCS shared this information in a post on X, stating: “EQ of M: 4.5, On: 28/06/2024 22:46:46 IST, Lat: 10.25 N, Long: 93.82 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Andaman Sea.”
Earlier in March, another earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 hit the Andaman Islands. According to NCS data, the tremors were felt at around 11:32 pm, with the epicenter at latitude 10.06 and longitude 95.00, at a depth of 67 km.
