The relationship between India and the UAE has seen significant growth since Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit in 2015, marking the start of a Comprehensive and Strategic Partnership. PM Modi has visited the UAE multiple times, with the most recent visit in late 2023 for the COP28-World Climate Action Summit.

In 2022, India and the UAE signed the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed has also made several visits to India, including attending the G20 Leaders’ Summit in 2023.
