DRI Uncovers Secret Mephedrone Factory in Nagpur, Arrests Four
The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) discovered a secret mephedrone factory in Nagpur’s Paachpavli area on August 10. The operation was based on specific intelligence from the DRI Mumbai Zonal Unit.

The DRI found a small laboratory equipped with all necessary chemicals, materials, and machinery for producing mephedrone. The mastermind had set up the machinery and acquired raw materials to manufacture over 100kg of the drug.
Seizure and Arrests
Authorities seized 51.95 kg of mephedrone in liquid form, valued at approximately Rs 78 crore. Four individuals, including the mastermind, were arrested under the NDPS Act, 1985. They have been sent to DRI custody for further interrogation.
