DRI Busts Illegal Mephedrone Factory in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh

In a significant operation, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) uncovered an illegal factory manufacturing Mephedrone, a banned psychotropic substance, in the Industrial Area of Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh. The operation led to the seizure of 36 kg of Mephedrone in powder form, 76 kg in liquid form, and various raw materials and equipment. The factory was sealed, and samples were sent to the Forensics Science Laboratory, confirming the presence of Mephedrone. Four individuals, including the factory director, were arrested for their involvement in the illegal activities. This operation highlights DRI’s effectiveness in combating drug syndicates that pose a threat to the youth of India.
