Dr. V K Paul to Inaugurate ‘One Health’ Pavilion at India International Trade Fair
Dr. V K Paul, a member of NITI Aayog, will inaugurate the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s ‘Health Pavilion’ at the 43rd India International Trade Fair (IITF) in New Delhi. The pavilion, located at Bharat Mandapam, focuses on the theme ‘One Health,’ which highlights the connection between human, animal, plant, and ecosystem health.
Theme: One Health
The ‘One Health’ theme aims to raise awareness about the links between different forms of life and the environment. It emphasizes the need for a collaborative response to health challenges from various sectors and communities.
Showcasing Achievements
The Health Pavilion will feature 39 stalls showcasing the Ministry’s achievements across 19 program divisions. Key programs include the U-WIN App for free vaccinations and the expanded Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), offering additional health coverage for senior citizens.
Interactive Experiences
Visitors can participate in health screenings and counseling for diseases like HIV and diabetes. The pavilion will also display the BHISHM Cube, an indigenous mobile hospital, and offer engaging activities such as street plays and virtual reality games in a dedicated Kids Zone.
Promoting ‘One Health’
The Ministry aims to promote a deeper understanding of the ‘One Health’ approach, fostering a holistic view of health. The IITF will run until November 27, welcoming visitors from India and abroad.
