Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai Inspires Young Innovators at Coimbatore Event

The Rotary Club of Coimbatore West organized a competition called ‘Big Bang 24’ for students aged 12 to 17. The event aimed to ignite the importance of innovation in young minds. Students from 54 schools across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh submitted 166 projects, with 92 projects from 35 schools selected for display.

The projects focused on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and were evaluated by experts. The winning project received a cash reward of Rs 1,00,000/-. Former ISRO scientist Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, the chief guest, encouraged students to aim for the International Space Station.

Earlier, Dr. Annadurai spoke about NASA astronauts Barry Eugene ‘Butch’ Wilmore and Sunita Williams, who faced delays at the International Space Station due to software glitches and design problems in the Boeing Starliner. He emphasized the importance of ensuring all systems are ready before any space mission.
