Dr. Karan Singh Urges Action on Jammu Terror Attacks and Suggests Military Changes

Dr. Karan Singh, the former President of Jammu and Kashmir, has expressed deep concern over the recent terrorist attacks in the Jammu region. He believes that both military and civilian authorities are making every effort to track down the terrorists quickly.

Dr. Singh said, “I trust the civilian and military authorities are making every effort to track down the militants as soon as possible.” He also extended his deep sympathy to the families who lost their loved ones and wished for the recovery of those injured in the attacks.

Additionally, Dr. Singh suggested to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh that the Jammu Division should be returned to the Nagrota Corps. He explained that the Nagrota Corps headquarters are much closer to Jammu, which would help in better surveillance and security. He said, “I think that the old system should be retained to ensure better and integrated dominance of the area in a militancy environment.”

Dr. Singh believes that enhancing the strength of the troops and keeping the area under constant surveillance would be beneficial. He concluded by urging the return of the Jammu Division to the Nagrota Corps for improved security measures.
