Donald Trump to Meet PM Narendra Modi During US Visit Next Week
Washington, DC [US], September 18: Former US President Donald Trump announced during a campaign event in Michigan that he will meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi next week during Modi’s visit to the United States. Trump praised PM Modi as a ‘fantastic’ leader and highlighted the importance of their meeting.
PM Modi will be in the US from September 21 to 23. He will participate in the fourth Quad Leaders’ Summit hosted by US President Joe Biden in Delaware on September 21. The summit includes leaders from India, Australia, and Japan.
On September 22, PM Modi will address the Indian community in New York. He will also speak at the ‘Summit of the Future’ at the United Nations General Assembly in New York on September 23. The theme of the summit is ‘Multilateral Solutions for a Better Tomorrow.’
Additionally, PM Modi will meet with CEOs of leading US-based companies to discuss collaborations in areas like AI, quantum computing, semiconductors, and biotechnology.
The last meeting between PM Modi and Donald Trump was in February 2020 during Trump’s visit to India, where he was welcomed with a ‘Namaste Trump’ event in Ahmedabad. PM Modi also participated in a ‘Howdy, Modi!’ rally in Texas during his 2019 US visit.
