US President-elect Donald Trump has announced Karoline Leavitt as the new White House Press Secretary. Leavitt previously served as the National Press Secretary for Trump’s 2024 campaign and was the Assistant Press Secretary during his first term. In addition to Leavitt, Trump has made several other key appointments. Steven Cheung will be the White House Communications Director, and Sergio Gor will lead the Presidential Personnel Office. Trump secured a second term by winning 295 electoral votes against Kamala Harris’s 226, and is preparing his team for his inauguration in January 2025.
