In addition to Leavitt, Trump has made several other key appointments. Steven Cheung will be the White House Communications Director, and Sergio Gor will lead the Presidential Personnel Office. Former Georgia Congressman Doug Collins has been nominated as the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will serve as the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

Trump also nominated Congressman Matt Gaetz as Attorney General, Senator Marco Rubio as Secretary of State, and former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence. Tesla CEO Elon Musk and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy will lead the new Department of Government Efficiency.

Other appointments include John Ratcliffe as Director of the CIA, William Joseph McGinley as White House Counsel, Lee Zeldin as Administrator of the EPA, and Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense. Trump secured a second term by winning 295 electoral votes against Kamala Harris’s 226, and is preparing his team for his inauguration in January 2025.
