Donald Trump and Kamala Harris to Debate Ahead of US Presidential Elections

Washington DC [United States], August 28: Former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has agreed to debate Vice President Kamala Harris before the upcoming presidential elections. The debate is scheduled for September 10th in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Trump shared the news on the social media platform Truth, stating, “I have reached an agreement with the Radical Left Democrats for a debate with Comrade Kamala Harris. It will be broadcast live on ABC FAKE NEWS, by far the nastiest and most unfair newscaster in the business.”

This announcement follows Trump’s earlier suggestion that he might cancel the debate due to disagreements over the rules. However, both parties have now agreed to follow the same rules as the June 27 CNN debate, which include no live audience and muted microphones when the candidates are not speaking. Trump emphasized that the debate will be “stand up,” and candidates cannot bring notes or “cheat sheets.”

Trump also mentioned that a third debate has not been agreed upon, stating, “Harris would not agree to the FoxNews debate on September 4th, but that date will be held open in case she changes her mind.”

Vice President Kamala Harris entered the presidential race after President Joe Biden announced his withdrawal in July. If elected, Harris would become the first woman in history to serve as the US president.
