Doda Prepares for Jammu and Kashmir Election Vote Counting
In Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, preparations are underway for the counting of votes in the Assembly elections. District Election Officer Harvinder Singh announced that all necessary arrangements are complete. Three counting halls have been set up for Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and three for postal ballots. Additional Assistant Returning Officers have been appointed for postal ballots, as directed by the Election Commission of India.

Singh explained the personnel management strategies, including multiple randomizations of manpower to ensure impartiality. The counting staff has been trained by master trainers to handle the counting process and upload results on the ENCORE portal. Special arrangements, such as media cells and designated spaces for candidates, are also in place.
Security is a priority, with 27 candidates contesting across three assembly constituencies. Singh emphasized the importance of law and order, noting that paramilitary forces and magistrates have been briefed on their roles. The area around the counting center will be a no-vehicle zone to maintain order.
