DMK MP Kanimozhi has reiterated the party’s demand to exempt Tamil Nadu from the NEET exam, stating that the process is unfair. She emphasized that Tamil Nadu has always opposed NEET and now the entire country is questioning its fairness.

The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) held a protest in Delhi over the NEET issue. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi criticized the government for the lack of accountability regarding exam cancellations, paper leaks, and CBI inquiries. She highlighted the impact on youth, who are at risk of losing job opportunities and a precious year of their lives.

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Arvind Sawant expressed concerns over the credibility of the National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts the NEET exams. He stressed the seriousness of the paper leak issue and questioned the NTA’s ability to conduct fair examinations.

National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah opposed the idea of a nationwide NEET-UG retest, calling it an improbable and unfortunate proposition. He suggested that retests should only be conducted in areas where irregularities occurred.

The NTA faced widespread criticism over alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG exams, leading to protests and demands to disband the agency. Concerns were heightened by the unprecedented achievement of 67 candidates scoring a perfect 720 out of 720. In response, the Ministry of Education has formed a high-level committee to recommend reforms in the examination process, data security protocols, and the functioning of the NTA.
