DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge Criticize Union Budget

DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran has alleged that the Union Budget discriminates against Tamil Nadu. He claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working for parties that support him rather than for the people. Maran suggested that Modi should take advice from Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, who works for all people, regardless of their vote.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also criticized the budget, stating that it favored only Bihar and Andhra Pradesh, leaving out many other states. He mentioned that states like Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, and Odisha received nothing significant.

Opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Kharge, Akhilesh Yadav, and Dola Sen, protested in Parliament against the budget. They raised slogans and held placards, expressing their discontent with the allocations made by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
