Diksha Dagar Narrowly Misses Cut at Wistron Ladies Open

In the inaugural Wistron Ladies Open held in Taoyuan, Taiwan, Indian golfer Diksha Dagar missed the cut by just one shot. Despite a strong comeback from 2-over to even par, she finished T-63rd, with 62 players making the cut. The challenging windy conditions at Sunrise Golf and Country Club made low scores difficult. Diksha’s first round score of 6-over 78 proved costly, and even a 72 in the second round couldn’t save her. She is set to compete next in the Women’s Indian Open.

Chiara Tamburlini Leads the Pack

Order of Merit leader Chiara Tamburlini, who shared the lead after the first round, faced a tougher second day. Starting from the 10th tee, she managed a birdie on the 15th but struggled with bogeys on the first, third, and fifth holes. However, she finished strong with birdies on the sixth and ninth holes, maintaining her lead at five-under-par.

Other Top Performers

Thailand’s Chonlada Chayanun, who was co-leader after the first round, also had a challenging second day. Five players, including South Africa’s Casandra Alexander, Taiwan’s Yu-Sang Hou, Anne Van Dam from the Netherlands, and Thai golfers Kusuma Meechai and Supamas Sangchan, are tied for third place at three-under-par.
