Digvijaya Singh Supports Rahul Gandhi’s Speech in Parliament

In Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, veteran Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Digvijaya Singh defended Rahul Gandhi’s recent speech in the Lok Sabha. Singh questioned what was wrong with Gandhi’s remarks, which highlighted truth, non-violence, love, and harmony as core Hindu values. Singh criticized the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not adhering to these principles.

During a debate on the Motion of Thanks to the President’s address, Rahul Gandhi accused the BJP-led government of systematically attacking the idea of India and the Constitution. He claimed that those who resisted this attack, including himself, faced personal attacks and imprisonment. Gandhi also described the ‘Abhaya Mudra,’ a symbol of fearlessness and safety, as representing the Congress party’s values.

Gandhi argued that the BJP, RSS, and Narendra Modi do not represent the entire Hindu society. His remarks were met with strong objections from BJP members, who accused him of insulting Hinduism. MP CM Mohan Yadav demanded an apology from Gandhi and called for the Congress party to clarify its stance on his statements.
