Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has announced that Nayab Singh Saini will be the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) candidate for the Chief Minister position in the upcoming Haryana assembly elections. Pradhan, who is in charge of the BJP’s Haryana election campaign, expressed confidence that the party would win for the third time in the state.

Pradhan highlighted the BJP’s achievements, stating, “Many welfare schemes have been implemented. The aspirations of the youth have been fulfilled. Work has been done to empower women.” He also criticized the Congress party, accusing them of corruption and having an anti-Dalit and anti-backwards mentality.

Meanwhile, senior BJP leader Anil Vij has also staked his claim for the Chief Minister post. Vij, who is the most senior BJP MLA in Haryana, said, “I have contested elections six times. I have never asked the party for anything. However, on the demand of people, I will claim for the designation of CM on the basis of my seniority this time.” He acknowledged that the final decision would be made by the party’s high command.

Vij is a BJP candidate from the Ambala Cantt Assembly constituency.
