DGP RR Swain Inaugurates New Police Post in Chandanwari, Pahalgam

On August 14, the Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, RR Swain, visited Anantnag district in South Kashmir. He inaugurated a newly constructed Police Post building at Chandanwari in the Pahalgam area.

The event was part of the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s efforts to improve infrastructure and provide better facilities for its personnel. The new Police Post aims to strengthen law enforcement and enhance community safety in the area.

During the ceremony, DGP Swain and other senior officers planted saplings in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. This initiative, under the ‘EK PED SHAHEEDON KE NAAM’ campaign, honored Martyr SI Mohd Amin Magloo, Martyr SgCt Ghulam Rasool Bhat, Martyr Ct. Mohd Amin Shah, Martyr Ct. Ali Mohd Najar, Martyr Ct. Bashir Ahmed Wani, and Martyr Ct. Irshad Ahmad Sheikh.

The campaign aims to perpetuate the memory of these brave personnel while fostering a sense of patriotism and environmental consciousness among the community.
