In an effort to enhance law enforcement and community relations, Punjab’s Director General of Police, Gaurav Yadav, conducted a surprise ‘Night Domination’ tour across four districts. This initiative, directed by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, aimed to inspect police stations and checkpoints in SAS Nagar, Ludhiana, Khanna, and Fatehgarh Sahib.

During the tour, DGP Yadav engaged with citizens to gather feedback on police performance. He expressed satisfaction with the public’s sense of safety due to increased police presence. “Our goal is to ensure citizens’ security and build trust through transparent and accountable policing,” he stated.

He also interacted with police officers, emphasizing the importance of maintaining professionalism and continuing special vehicle checks for enhanced security. DGP Yadav highlighted the Punjab Police’s focus on curbing street crimes and eradicating drugs, instructing Commissioners of Police and Senior Superintendents of Police to address these issues effectively.

The DGP has been actively visiting police stations and holding public meetings to boost morale and strengthen community ties. He also assessed the effectiveness of crime combat apps like VAHAN and PAIS at the ground level.
