New Delhi, October 23: Delhi has been ranked as the world’s most polluted city by IQAir. Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena expressed his concerns to Chief Minister Atishi, criticizing her for not providing solutions to the pollution problem. He highlighted the severe impact on residents, especially the poor, who face health risks and loss of livelihood due to air pollution.

LG Saxena mentioned his repeated efforts to address the issue, including writing letters to the Chief Ministers of neighboring states and former CM Arvind Kejriwal. He emphasized that the pollution situation is avoidable and solutions are within reach. Saxena urged ministers and policymakers to step out of privileged areas and witness the pollution’s impact firsthand.

Earlier, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai requested a meeting with Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav to discuss the rising pollution levels in the city.
