Delhi University Advises Students to Upload All Class 12 Mark Sheets for Admissions
Delhi University (DU) has advised students who have taken exams from multiple boards to upload all their Class 12 mark sheets during the counselling process for undergraduate programs. This was announced by DU Dean of Admissions, Haneet Gandhi.
Gandhi explained that while only one mark sheet will be used to determine minimum eligibility, others may be considered for program-specific criteria. For example, if a science student has taken an Economics exam through the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), that mark sheet can be used to meet subject-specific eligibility requirements.
Admission to all undergraduate programs at DU is being conducted through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal, based on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) 2024. The second phase of admissions is currently open, with preferences auto-locking on August 9 and simulated ranks released on August 11.
Dr. Anand Sonkar, Joint Dean of Admissions, advised students to scan and upload all relevant mark sheets and enter the details of the mark sheet with the most subjects. The new academic session, initially scheduled to start on August 1, was delayed due to the late release of CUET results.
This year, DU has introduced a single girl child quota under its supernumerary category, admitting one girl based on merit across programs. Admission to all programs is determined by CUET scores, with approximately 71,000 seats available for 79 undergraduate programs and 183 BA program combinations in 69 colleges.
