The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a Delhi Police head constable named Girish Mahour. He was stationed at the Cyber Police Station in Model Town, North West Delhi. The arrest took place during a sting operation on Thursday.

Bribery Allegations

Girish Mahour was accused of demanding a bribe to unfreeze a complainant’s account. Initially, he asked for Rs 10,000, but after negotiations, he agreed to accept Rs 8,000. The CBI caught him red-handed while accepting the bribe.

The CBI has registered a case against the head constable and is continuing to investigate the matter further.
