In preparation for the Diwali season, the Delhi Police carried out a mock drill in Khan Market, New Delhi, after receiving reports of an unattended bag in the area. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Devesh Mahla emphasized the importance of these drills, stating, “Ahead of Diwali, the Delhi Police is on high alert. Additionally, police patrolled Tilak Nagar market to ensure security measures were in place. DCP West Vichitra Veer mentioned that security arrangements have been enhanced in all district markets, with an awareness campaign initiated 10 days prior.

In a related incident, the Delhi Police confiscated a mobile network jammer from Palika Bazaar. A police official stated, “This suspicious electronic device functions as a mobile network jammer,” and confirmed that legal action would be taken against the shopkeeper after verification.
