Delhi Police Arrests Wanted Drug Supplier Chitrasen Parida in Odisha

New Delhi [India], June 27: The Delhi Police Crime Branch has successfully arrested Chitrasen Parida, a notorious drug supplier from Ganjam district in Odisha. Parida had been on the run for three years, frequently changing his location to evade capture.

Background

Chitrasen Parida was wanted under sections 20, 25, and 29 of the NDPS Act and section 174A of the IPC. He was declared a Proclaimed Offender by the Hon’ble Court of ASJ-02, Special Judge (NDPS), KKD Courts on February 25, 2022.

Arrest Operation

Based on secret information, a team was dispatched to Odisha to track Parida. After relentless efforts and diligent field and technical work by HC Sandeep Kumar, Parida was finally apprehended.

Details of the Accused

During interrogation, Parida revealed that he had been supplying drugs to various states, including Delhi, for many years. He would change his address and location whenever his clients were arrested to avoid being caught. In 2022, he was also arrested by STF Bhubaneswar, which seized property worth Rs. 2 crores from him. Additionally, he was arrested by Gujarat Police.
