Delhi Police Arrests Two Traffickers with Illegal Weapons in Dwarka

The Special Cell of the Delhi Police in Dwarka arrested two inter-state traffickers on Monday. They recovered six country-made pistols and 12 live cartridges from the accused, Ajrudeen alias Ajru PS-Bichhor (32) and Mohammad Rashid (28), both residents of Punhana.

How They Were Caught

The Special Cell received information that Rashid would be carrying illegal arms and visiting Shyam Vihar near the Dwarka Expressway. A raiding party was formed on July 25, and Rashid was caught with one illegal country-made pistol and two live cartridges. Rashid revealed that he got the weapons from Ajrudeen and was supposed to deliver them to Rohit in Jai Vihar Najafgarh.

Further Investigation

Following Rashid’s confession, an FIR was filed by Police Superintendent Chawla, and raids were conducted in Nuh, Haryana. Ajrudeen was arrested on July 30, and five country-made pistols, 10 live cartridges, and a stolen motorcycle were recovered from him. Ajrudeen had a history of illegal activities, including previous arrests by Nuh and Rajasthan Police.
