Delhi Police Arrests Truck Driver for Fatal Accident

Incident Details

On June 15, a tragic accident occurred near Bhikaji Cama Place in Delhi. Tribhuvan, a 48-year-old truck helper from Naseerpur village, Ambedkar Nagar district, Uttar Pradesh, was hit by a speeding truck. He was rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

Police Investigation

The police received information about the accident at around 11:30 pm and registered a case at the RK Puram Police Station. They inspected the crime scene and found an eyewitness who reported that the truck was traveling at high speed towards Dhaula Kuan on Ring Road.

Arrest of the Suspect

Through CCTV footage and mechanical inspections of over a dozen trucks, the police identified the suspect as Arun Kumar, a 22-year-old from Baroliya village, Mainpuri District, Uttar Pradesh. Initially, Arun tried to mislead the police but eventually confessed to the crime. He was arrested, and the truck involved in the accident was seized.
