Delhi Police Arrests Third Suspect in GTB Hospital Shooting
Moin Khan, 19, Nabbed
The Delhi Police have arrested Moin Khan, a 19-year-old resident of Laxmi Garden, Loni, Ghaziabad, in connection with the shooting inside Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital. The incident occurred on Sunday when Riyazuddin was shot inside the hospital ward.
DCP Shahdara, Surendra Chaudhary, stated that Moin was one of the main conspirators and had conducted a recce of the hospital for four days along with his associates Ayan, Aman, and Shavez. Moin was also involved in hiding the motorcycle used in the crime and was part of the backup plan.
Two other suspects, Faiz and Farhaan, were previously apprehended. The case was registered on July 14 based on the statement of the victim’s sister, Tarranum Malik. She reported that her brother was shot by an unknown person in Ward 24 of GTB Hospital.
Police investigations revealed that the shooting was linked to a gang rivalry involving the Hasim Baba gang. The suspects were identified through video footage, social media IDs, and call detail records. Faheem alias Badshah Khan was identified as the mastermind behind the incident.
On the day of the incident, Faheem instructed the group to kill another patient in Ward 24, but they mistakenly killed Riyazuddin. Faiz provided the bike for the operation, and after the shooting, Moin and Faiz returned to their home in Loni. Further investigation is ongoing.
