Delhi Police Arrests Rajnish in Constable Sandeep’s Tragic Road Rage Death

Delhi police have arrested Rajnish, one of the accused in the death of constable Sandeep in a road rage incident on September 29 in Nangloi, New Delhi. The Tis Hazari Court has granted a three-day custody remand for Rajnish. Efforts are ongoing to arrest the second accused.

The incident occurred when constable Sandeep, aged 30, noticed a driver’s reckless behavior and requested the driver to slow down. Instead, the driver accelerated, hitting Sandeep’s motorcycle from behind and dragging him for about 10 meters before colliding with another vehicle. Sandeep tragically lost his life in the incident.

The car involved has been seized, and multiple police teams are conducting raids in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana to find the second accused. CCTV footage from the area is aiding the investigation.

Meanwhile, a habeas corpus petition was mentioned in the Delhi High Court concerning the alleged illegal detention of the accused’s wife. The court, led by Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela, has scheduled a hearing for October 1 to examine the legality of her detention.
