Delhi Police Arrests One Assailant in Tilak Nagar Sweet Shop Shooting

New Delhi [India], August 25: Delhi police have arrested one of the two bike-borne assailants who opened fire at a sweet shop in Delhi’s Tilak Nagar. The accused, identified as Vishnu alias Kranti, a member of the Nandu gang, fired bullets at Singla Sweets Shop on Friday.

The other accused is still absconding. The incident occurred at around 11:15 pm on Friday when unknown persons fired bullets at Singla’s Sweets shop, hitting the front glass of the shop. Following the incident, the crime team and the district operations unit responded immediately and arrived at the spot.

Delhi Police said that an FIR has been filed under relevant provisions of law, and an investigation is underway. Four empty cartridges were recovered from the spot. No person has been hit by the bullets. Multiple teams have been formed to gather information and check the assailants’ route.
