Delhi Police Arrests Two for Illegal Weapon Supply

In New Delhi, the Delhi police have arrested two individuals for their alleged involvement in supplying illegal weapons. Additional Commissioner of Police Sanjay Bhatia announced the arrests on Sunday.

Investigation Details

A crime branch team, led by ACP Pankaj and including Inspector Guarav, Inspector Yashpal, and ASI Munawar Ali, had been investigating the illegal weapon supply in Delhi. They intercepted a person named Iqram, who was found with two illegal weapons and four live cartridges.

Arrests Made

During interrogation, Iqram revealed that he obtained the weapons from Meerut. This led the police to another suspect, Mashooq Ali, who was arrested in Meerut. Mashooq Ali is the owner of a factory allegedly manufacturing illegal weapons in Kashi Ram Colony, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.

Seizure and Ongoing Investigation

The police seized sixteen pistols, 41 barrels, eight tools for manufacturing guns, and six live cartridges from the factory. Both accused have been arrested under the Arms Act, and the investigation is ongoing.
