In New Delhi, the police have arrested five individuals following a shooting near Raja Market in the Welcome area. The incident occurred on October 19, injuring a person named Ifra, who is currently receiving treatment at GTB Hospital.

Details of the Incident

Police received information about a quarrel and shooting at Z-II near Raja Market. Upon arrival, they found eight empty cartridges, two live cartridges, and seven deformed metal pieces at the scene.

Suspects and Arrests

The suspects, identified as Samad (28), Shanu (30), Kasim (23), Hasim (22), and Mohd Noor (22), allegedly exchanged gunfire over a dispute. The police, aided by a confidential informant and technical surveillance, conducted raids at various locations to apprehend them. Three weapons, two live cartridges, and two empty cartridges were seized from the suspects.

Ongoing Investigation

The investigation continues to identify another suspect and recover any remaining weapons. A case has been registered under Sections 109(1)/3(5) BNS and the 27 Arms Act.
