Delhi Police Arrest Two Men for Attempted Kidnapping of Student in Alipur
New Delhi [India], August 22: Delhi police have arrested two men, Gurmeet Singh and Nikhil Kumar, for attempting to kidnap a student named Roushan in the Alipur area. The incident occurred on August 14 near Bakoli crossing.
According to the police, Roushan was waiting at a bus stand to return to his room in Bawana after visiting his father in Alipur. The suspects forced him into a black car, but Roushan managed to escape by jumping out of the vehicle. The suspects then fled toward Narela.
Roushan reported the incident to the police, who registered a case of abduction under Section 140(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). During the investigation, a video showing the car with registration number DL9CAM 7577 was discovered. The car, registered to Labh Singh, the father of one of the accused, has been seized.
The police have taken Gurmeet Singh and Nikhil Kumar into custody and are continuing their investigation.
