Delhi Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj Challenges LG VK Saxena on Doctor Appointments
Delhi Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj responded to Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena’s statement about the delay in doctor appointments due to the unavailability of the Chief Minister and lack of an NCCSA meeting. Bhardwaj claimed he could present documents showing transfers and postings without any NCCSA meeting.
He challenged the legality of the LG’s actions and pointed out that new officers were posted in the PWD without NCCSA meetings. Bhardwaj said, “I have put forth a simple point that you (Delhi’s LG) say that doctors cannot be posted because the NCCSA meeting could not be held. I showed you the papers of postings and transfers of Group A of Delhi Government, that transfers and postings have been done in June and this month of August without any NCCSA meeting. The LG could not say anything about this.”
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is currently in jail following his arrest by the ED on March 21, 2024, in connection with a money laundering probe relating to alleged irregularities in the now-cancelled Delhi excise policy 2021-22.
