Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi Praises AAP’s Education Model and Highlights Challenges
Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi praised the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) education model, noting its recognition across India and the world. She emphasized that AAP and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal prioritize education.
Oberoi mentioned, “Aam Aadmi Party and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal have always given priority to education. The Aam Aadmi Party has given such a model of education in Delhi, which has been discussed not only in Delhi but in the whole country and the world.”
She highlighted the inauguration of new schools and the provision of facilities comparable to private schools. “Every kind of facility has been given in these schools, including 14 classrooms, labs, etc. All the facilities that students get in private schools will be provided in Delhi’s government schools,” Oberoi said.
Oberoi also pointed out the delay in forming a standing committee, which has stalled many projects. “Standing committee has not been formed yet. So many of our projects are on hold. We have spotted so many problems in the schools, like a shortage of watchmen, sweepers, and data entry operators,” she added.
She called for court intervention to transfer powers to the House until the committee is formed. “We have also requested in the court that till the standing panel is not formed, the power must be handed over to the House. We want court to give a verdict on this. We want to give all the facilities to the residents of Delhi which we promised,” Oberoi added.
