Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi and Education Minister Atishi Meet Principals Trained at IIM-Ahmedabad
New Delhi [India], August 16: Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi and Education Minister Atishi interacted with 47 principals of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) schools who received training at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-Ahmedabad). The event took place at the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) office in Delhi.
Senior officials from the Education Department of the MCD and SCERT were also present. During the program, the principals shared their experiences on teaching techniques, school management, human resources, and leadership development learned at IIM-Ahmedabad.
Education Minister Atishi stated that the training aimed to enhance the principals’ leadership skills to improve MCD schools, aspiring to make them as excellent as IIM institutes. Mayor Shelly Oberoi highlighted the Delhi government’s efforts in education and the revolutionary changes being implemented in MCD schools. She praised the principals for their commendable work despite limited resources and emphasized the importance of primary education in laying the foundation for children’s futures.
Both officials encouraged the principals to apply their new skills to benefit their students and congratulated them for their positive mindset and dedication.
