The liquor shops across New Delhi will be closed for six days in the upcoming months of October and November, as announced by the excise department of the Delhi government. These closures coincide with important national holidays and religious festivals.

The excise department clarified that no compensation will be provided to licensees for the suspension of liquor sales during these dry days. However, hotels with L-15 and L-15F licenses can still serve liquor to residents.
