Delhi LG VK Saxena Orders Quick Resolution of Employee Promotions and Benefits
Delhi LG VK Saxena has issued strict directions to resolve all pending matters related to employee promotions and financial benefits under the Modified Assured Career Progression (MACP) Scheme within 15 days. This directive is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 100-day action agenda in his 3rd term.
According to a statement from the LG Office, Saxena has also instructed the Chairman of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) to address all other service matters related to employees, including pending recruitment rules, pensions, and Leave Travel Concession (LTC), as soon as possible.
The statement highlighted that 3178 cases of MACP, which would ensure automatic promotion for long-serving employees, have been pending. Saxena, who has been advocating for timely promotions, pensions, and better service conditions for government employees since taking office, has directed strict adherence to the promotion policy.
Saxena stated that timely promotions and improved service conditions would not only boost employee morale and efficiency but also help them overcome fatigue due to prolonged stagnation. Additionally, 5561 cases of pay fixation under the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) are pending, which Saxena directed to be settled promptly.
He has ordered the Chairman of NDMC to resolve all 9569 service-related pending matters in various NDMC divisions within the next 100 days. The departments and divisions where these matters are pending include the Secretary Establishment, Electrical Establishment, Health Establishment, A&H Establishment, and the Personnel Establishment. This move will benefit thousands of Group ‘C’ and Group ‘B’ employees working in NDMC.
