Delhi LG VK Saxena Orders More Police Visibility and Dust-Free Campaign
Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) VK Saxena has issued instructions to the Police Commissioner to ensure ample police visibility in the city. A list of senior officers responsible for this will be prepared and monitored regularly. Saxena emphasized that visible policing is a strong deterrent against crime.
Additionally, LG Saxena has launched a dust-free campaign, asking the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), Public Work Department (PWD), New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), and other agencies to clean roads and drains. The campaign aims to prevent dust accumulation and ensure proper disposal of silt and mud.
The Aam Aadmi Party responded, noting that Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj had previously called a meeting on this issue, but it was not held due to the unavailability of officials.
