Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of staging a media drama regarding a letter about the water crisis. The letter, written by AAP General Secretary Pankaj Gupta, sought a meeting with the LG but was not properly delivered. Saxena criticized AAP for repeating blame games every year.

Meanwhile, Delhi Minister Atishi has started a hunger strike, blaming the Haryana government for not supplying enough water. AAP plans to meet the LG to discuss the issue.

Details of the Incident

On Saturday, VK Saxena accused AAP of orchestrating a media drama over a letter about the water crisis. The letter, written by Pankaj Gupta, sought an appointment with the LG to discuss the issue with AAP leaders. However, the letter was not delivered to the LG Secretariat properly.

Raj Niwas Delhi posted on X that the letter was not written by any MP, Water Minister, Chairman DJB, MLA, Mayor, or Councillor. It was not delivered to the LG Secretariat, and the intentions were questioned.

LG’s Response

The LG Secretariat stated that Saxena is willing to meet 10 representatives to discuss measures to help the people of Delhi. The meeting is scheduled for Sunday at 12:15 PM.

Ongoing Water Crisis

Earlier, Saxena criticized the AAP-led Delhi government for its handling of the water crisis, accusing them of repeating the same blame game every year. He expressed his frustration with the AAP government’s approach to governance and service delivery.

Atishi’s Hunger Strike

Delhi Minister Atishi has started an indefinite hunger strike, blaming the Haryana government for not supplying enough water. She began her strike on Friday, accompanied by Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh and other party leaders. AAP has written a letter to the LG regarding the water shortage and plans to meet him to discuss the issue.
