Delhi Introduces New Bus Routes in Dwarka and Vasant Vihar for Better Commutes

The Delhi Government has launched two new circulator bus routes to make travel easier for residents. These routes are designed to provide convenient travel options within specific areas.

New Bus Routes

The first route, starting from Dwarka More, is serviced by two 12-meter CNG buses. These buses cover important locations like Dwarka Sector-14 Metro station, Dwarka Sector-21 Metro station, Apeejay College, NSIT, Guru Govind Singh University, Vardhman Mall, and residential areas. The entire journey takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes.

The second route, starting from Vasant Vihar, is operated by eight electric buses. This route connects Vasant Vihar Metro Station and Chhatarpur Metro Station, covering the distance in about 45 minutes. The operation of these e-buses began on June 7, 2024.

Transport Minister’s Statement

Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot said, “The trial of new circulator bus routes in Dwarka and Vasant Vihar is a significant step in our ongoing efforts to improve public transportation in Delhi. By addressing the specific needs of residents and ensuring coverage of important areas, we aim to make daily commutes more convenient and efficient. This initiative reflects our commitment to enhancing the quality of life for Delhi’s commuters.”
