Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj and Minister Atishi Discuss Dengue Preparedness and Waterlogging Solutions

On Friday, Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj chaired a meeting with various departments to discuss preparedness for dengue. He emphasized the importance of preventing water accumulation to stop mosquito breeding and alerted hospitals to keep all dengue-related information ready. Bharadwaj mentioned that he has called the Managing Directors of Delhi hospitals for a review meeting on Monday.

Recently, the Delhi government held an emergency meeting due to heavy rains and waterlogging. Minister Atishi stated that 200 waterlogging hotspots have been identified, with 40 under CCTV surveillance. She explained that excessive rainfall beyond the capacity of drains is causing waterlogging in several areas. Both ministers stressed the need for coordinated efforts to address these issues.
