Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj Criticizes Central Government Over Recent Violence
Delhi Health Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Saurabh Bhardwaj has expressed his concern and outrage over recent violent incidents in Delhi. These incidents include the murder of a gym owner in Greater Kailash and a shooting in Geeta Colony that resulted in one fatality.
Violent Incidents in Delhi
On Thursday night, a gym owner named Nadir Shah was shot dead by assailants in Greater Kailash. According to Delhi police, Shah was rushed to the hospital by his friends but was declared dead. The police received a PCR call about the firing incident around 10:45 PM, and it was reported that 7-8 rounds of bullets were fired.
In another incident, a man named Ashu alias Shahid was shot dead by an unidentified assailant in the Rani Garden area of Geeta Colony. The cause of the firing is still being investigated, and a case has been registered.
Criticism of Central Government
Saurabh Bhardwaj criticized the Central government and Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena for not taking responsibility for the deteriorating law and order situation in Delhi. He highlighted the shortage of staff in the Delhi Police Force and called for large-scale recruitment to address the issue.
Bhardwaj posted on X, “Yesterday a gym owner was murdered in Greater Kailash. And today there was firing in Delhi’s Geeta Colony and one person died. @LtGovDelhi and when will the Centre start taking responsibility for its work? There is a huge shortage of staff in Delhi Police. There is a need for large-scale recruitment in Delhi Police.”
Investigations are ongoing for both incidents, and the police are working to ascertain the causes and identify the assailants.
