The Women and Child Development department of the Delhi government has taken over the management of the Women Helpline number 181, which was previously handled by the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW). This change was directed by the Government of India.
Helpline Activity
Delhi Minister Kailash Gahlot shared that 1,024 calls were received by 2 PM on Thursday. The helpline, which resumed at 4:58 PM the previous day, is a toll-free, 24-hour service providing support and information to women seeking assistance. It receives approximately 40,000 calls each month.
