Long Queues at Water Tankers

Delhi is facing a severe water crisis, causing residents in areas like Chilla Gaon in Mayur Vihar and Geeta Colony to rely on water tankers to meet their daily needs. People are forming long queues to fill their containers.

Political Blame Game

Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for allegedly staging a media drama over the water crisis. He claimed that a letter from AAP General Secretary Pankaj Gupta to the LG was not delivered to the LG Secretariat.

AAP General Secretary Pankaj Gupta sought a meeting with the LG to discuss the water crisis along with senior AAP leaders, including MPs and MLAs.

Indefinite Hunger Strike

Delhi Minister Atishi, who is also the Water Minister, began an indefinite hunger strike on Friday at Bhogal, near Jangpura. She was accompanied by Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh and other party leaders. Atishi stated that she had no choice but to sit on a fast after the Haryana government did not agree to supply the required quantity of water.
