Delhi Education Minister Atishi and Mayor Shaili Oberoi Celebrate MCD Principals’ Training at IIM Ahmedabad
New Delhi, August 18: Delhi Education Minister Atishi and Mayor Shaili Oberoi interacted with 48 principals of MCD schools who recently returned from a five-day training program at IIM Ahmedabad. The principals shared their experiences and the knowledge they gained, including leadership skills and strategies for improving education and involving parents.
Principals’ Enthusiasm and Zeal
Education Minister Atishi praised the principals for their enthusiasm and dedication. She emphasized that the training at IIM Ahmedabad would help them provide world-class education to their students. Atishi highlighted Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s vision of giving every child in Delhi the same quality of education as his own children.
Mayor Shaili Oberoi’s Remarks
Mayor Shaili Oberoi noted that before 2022, MCD schools did not receive much attention. However, the Aam Aadmi Party government has since given full respect and support to teachers and principals. She stressed the importance of principals in managing schools and providing quality education.

Principals who attended the training expressed their gratitude and shared how the experience changed their perspectives. Parul Jain, a principal, described the training at IIM Ahmedabad as a dream come true.
