New Delhi, June 28: Delhi’s Patiala House Court has remanded Bijender, also known as Golu, to seven days of police custody in connection with the recent murder of Aman Joon at a Burger King outlet in Rajouri Garden.

The Delhi Police arrested Bijender on Friday for his involvement in the June 18 shootout. Two other suspects are still on the run. Duty Magistrate Bharti Beniwal granted the police’s request for Bijender’s custody to investigate the conspiracy behind the crime.

The police plan to take Bijender to Madhya Pradesh to trace the source of the pistol used in the murder and to Uttar Pradesh to find the source of the cartridges. Bijender is also expected to help in arresting the other culprits.

Advocate Manmeet Singh, representing Bijender, did not object to the police custody. The court will review the case on July 5 after the police custody period ends.

The incident, which shocked the capital, involved three individuals arriving on a motorcycle. Two of them entered the Burger King and opened fire on Aman Joon. Bijender was identified as the person sitting on the motorcycle during the shooting.

Additionally, a post by Himanshu Bhau, which is going viral, claims responsibility for the murder and mentions Ajit, also known as Kalia. Kalia, who was recently arrested in another case, is suspected of providing weapons and logistics for the Burger King shooting.
